February 2020 / Rethink Plastics starts Instagram campaign

To positively influence the perception of plastics among the Dutch public, Rethink Plastics launched the Instagram campaign "Thanks in part to plastics and rubber" last week. Rethink Plastics is a joint initiative of the plastic-producing and plastic-processing industry in the Netherlands, to which Shin-Etsu is also a member. The intention of the new campaign is to show the applications of plastic and rubber with catchy images. And thus increase awareness among a larger audience. Instagram is primarily focused on visual expressions and Rethink wants to capture the value and applications of rubber and plastic products for the user in one image that is recognizable to everyone. Up to the summer holidays, a photo is posted twice a week on the Instagram account RethinkplasticsNL.
